Our Team
Cecily has worked in education and counseling since she began her career in Philadelphia in 2010. Her experience includes working in youth mentoring, advocacy, college access & success, and supervision. She has extensive experience in designing and implementing comprehensive support, counseling, and advocacy programs for students with lived experiences in the child welfare and foster care system, as well as First-Generation, Limited-Income (FGLI) students in higher education. Currently, Cecily is the Associate Director for PennCAP, a one-to-one support program for FGLI students at the University of Pennsylvania, where she also serves as an adjunct faculty member.
Cecily specializes in career and college counseling for youth and young adults, and transitional counseling for adults. She believes that human struggle and periods of transition are a natural part of life that can oftentimes make us feel as if we are living a life that is out of our control, but that through self-exploration, strength identification, coaching, and supportive guidance, therapy can help to transform difficult experiences into rich opportunities for growth, healing, and change.
Cecily has presented at several national conferences and led numerous professional development workshops in the field.
